What the spreadsheet usually looks like
Most founders keep one working file: a sheet with a row per month, and whatever columns the business has learned to watch.

The numbers the dashboard shows first
For a monthly founder sheet Sheet2Chart typically proposes:
- MRR or revenue this month, with the month-over-month change.
- Burn rate: costs minus revenue for the month, or the change in cash balance when that is what the file tracks.
- Runway in months: cash balance divided by burn.
- A revenue trend, a cost breakdown if costs are split by category, and customers over time.

A question you can ask, and what the receipt shows
“If costs stay flat, how many months of runway do we have?” becomes:
- Measure: Cash balance, latest month, divided by Burn, average of last three months
- Filter: none
- Result: months of runway, with both inputs shown
If the sheet has no cash-balance column, the answer says the question cannot be computed from this file and names the column that would make it possible. That is more useful than a confident wrong number.
When Excel is enough, and when to upload
If the file is small and you are the only reader, Excel and the guide above will get you MRR growth, burn, and runway with a few formulas.

Do I need an account to try it?
You can open the example dashboards without one. To build a dashboard from your own file you sign in after uploading; it takes a few seconds, and the dashboard is saved privately to your account.
What should the spreadsheet look like?
One row per month with the columns you already track: revenue or MRR, costs, cash balance, customers. A monthly table gives you growth, burn, and runway. A transaction-level export works too; the dashboard aggregates it.
Can it calculate runway?
When the file has a cash balance and a monthly cost or burn column, runway (cash divided by monthly burn) is proposed as a KPI, and the receipt on the answer shows exactly which two figures were divided.
